Family-friendly Policies
The College of Liberal Arts at Texas A&M University is committed to
providing an inclusive and family-friendly workplace environment for
faculty and staff. When the personal and professional lives of faculty
and staff are impacted by events such as the birth of a child, personal
illness or injury, or the illness of a parent or close relative, the
College will assist the employee to the extent permitted by University

resources. Employees are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the
information provided at these sites, and should not hesitate to request
the assistance and benefits for which they are eligible. Normally,
requests for assistance would be made to the department head.
