Given our definition of rites of passage as the culturally prescribed actions which accompany changes in the life cycle or societal states, write an account of a rite of passage you have experienced, making note of its secular or religious function and the stages of a rite of passage (i.e., separation, liminalization, and reintegration). Your account of your experience should remain as narrative and descriptive as possible while fulfilling the assignment's requirements. Although not a requirement of this assignment, I encourage you to pick an experience which you think might be unusual for your classmates.
