2007-12-06 Liberal Arts recognizes seven staff members at holiday reception

Three professional staff and an administrative team in the College of Liberal Arts were recognized today (Dec. 6) with a CLASS award during the college’s Staff Appreciation Reception held in the Allen Building atrium.  The individuals honored included Barbara D. Newsom, lead office associate in the Department of English; J. Roy Mitchell, senior academic advisor in the Office of Undergraduate Student Services; and Rosalie E. Glenn, business coordinator II in the Department of Philosophy and Humanities. The administrative team recognized was in the Department of Anthropology.  Team members included Cynthia Y. Hurt, administrative assistant; Rebekah K. Luza, business coordinator; Milissa L. Kennedy, academic advisor; and Leslie A. Riley, office assistant.

The College of Liberal Arts Superior Service Awards (CLASS) program recognizes and reinforces the values, attitudes, and behaviors that exemplify a first-class liberal arts college as the cornerstone of a pre-eminent public university.  Each participant received a framed certificate and cash award.
