- This initiative focuses on setting a new course for sustainable development and intensifying public discourse on the topic.
Special presentation on sustainability set for October 13
Mr. Klaus-Peter Beck, president of ASKO EUROPA-FOUNDATION in Saarbrücken, Germany, will deliver a special lecture on the Encouraging Sustainability initiative on Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2009, at 4:00 p.m. in Glasscock 311. This initiative focuses on setting a new course for sustainable development and intensifying public discourse on the topic. Following his lecture, Beck will also present to the Melbern G. Glasscock Center for Humanities Research and others the 12-volume collection that has resulted from the Encouraging Sustainability initiative.
This initiative is organized and sponsored by the ASKO EUROPA-FOUNDATION, the Forum for Responsibility Foundation, and the European Academy Otzenhausen. The lecture is free, open to the public, and refreshments will be served. Mr. Beck’s TAMU visit is sponsored by the College of Liberal Arts.
