In an age of ever increasing globalization and intercultural exchange, the Department of European and Classical Languages and Cultures helps prepare Texas A&M University students for careers in education, international affairs, international business, foreign service, and a variety of other professions. We offer majors in French, German, and Russian and co-sponsor a Masters Degree in Comparative Literatures and Cultures. In the near future, we will offer a major in Classics and a PhD in European Studies. The Department also offers beginning and intermediate courses in Italian and Japanese and plans to offer courses in Arabic in the next two years.
