Long-Term Goals:
- Locate, identify, excavate, conserve, analyze,
and publish archaeologically important shipwrecks or submerged sites
that best expand knowledge of past civilizations.
- Broaden the Institute's research scope to include our
established "Old World" andsignificant "New
World" and "Other World" activities.
- Enlarge the network of organizations, scholars, and specialists
associated with the Institute.
- Broaden the base of support, appreciation, and understanding of nautical archaeology by disseminating information through scientific and popular media.
- Increase the Institute of Nautical Archaeology Foundation
endowment by an amount necessary to fund the Institute's growing
activities.
