Center for Maritime Archaeology and Conservation (CMAC)
The Center for Maritime Archaeology and Conservation focuses on the history of civilization as revealed through excavations of significant shipwrecks, sunken port cities, and ports at key junctures of history in both the Old and New Worlds. Its interdisciplinary efforts also include deep-water archaeology. The center, in collaboration with the Institute of Nautical Archaeology, provides a mechanism through which interdisciplinary research in maritime archaeology and artifact conservation is disseminated to the public and to graduate students in the Nautical Archaeology Program.

ELI seeks to treat each student with respect as it emphasizes to students that they are members of a community of learners. This intensive English program facilitates international students’ participation in technology, science, and management. Enriched by the arts and humanities, the program serves current and future university students and emphasizes diversity and excellence.
Glasscock Center for Humanities Research (GCHR)
The Glasscock Center is dedicated to fostering and celebrating the humanities and research among the community of scholars at Texas A&M University and in the world. In addition to bringing scholars together around a particular theme for lecture series and conferences in alternate years, the Glasscock Center awards annually the national Susanne M. Glasscock Book Prize for Interdisciplinary Scholarship, and also supports humanities students and faculty at Texas A&M University with a number of funding opportunities. The center also holds a monthly colloquium during the academic year, where faculty and graduate students present their works-in-progress to gatherings of interested colleagues. The Melbern G. Glasscock Center for Humanities Research is named in honor of an extraordinary gift from Melbern G. Glasscock '59 and Susanne M. Glasscock, which constitutes a sustaining endowment for the center.
