College of Liberal Arts → A Cornerstone College Texas A&M University
The College of Liberal Arts College Council is a consultative body for the dean on college initiatives, as well as a source of feedback to the dean for ideas, issues, and concerns among college constituencies. The dean meets with this council once a month, on the fourth Tuesday of each month, and more often as required. Official minutes of these meetings are maintained and posted on the college website. Representatives on the college council are encouraged to keep members of their respective groups informed about discussions and issues covered in each council meeting.

The council is composed of:

  • the Liberal Arts Faculty Senate Caucus leader
  • the Chair Pro Tem of the Liberal Arts Council
  • the President of the Liberal Arts Student Council
  • a representative of liberal arts graduate students
  • the Chair of the Liberal Arts Staff Development Council
  • a representative from the Liberal Arts Interdisciplinary Council
  • the liberal arts representative to Texas A&M University’s Department Head Executive Committee
