College Information
The College of Liberal Arts serves as a cornerstone of Texas A&M
University. Faculty and graduate student scholarship in liberal arts
disciplines provides a base for understanding the human condition, for
the choices we make individually and collectively, and for research and
teaching in professional fields. The College offers an array of courses
in social and behavioral sciences, humanities, and the performing arts,
and is a major source of international education. Twelve departments
make up the largest collegiate faculty on campus, and the professors
are dedicated to ensuring quality education for a dynamic, evolving
student body. The College of Liberal Arts recognizes the goals set
forth in Vision 2020–to attain national prominence, to extend the
international reach of faculty and students, and to support diversity.
