College of Liberal Arts Superior Service Awards
The College of Liberal Arts Superior Service (CLASS) Awards Program annually recognizes individuals and teams of staff who provide outstanding service to the College of Liberal Arts. Up to four individual award recipients will receive a cash award of $500 and an engraved award plaque. Team award recipients will be recognized with a team commemorative plaque, and each team member will also receive a framed certificate and a cash award of $100. A committee appointed by the Dean will review nominations and select the award recipients.
Eligibility
CLASS Individual Award nominees must:
- be employed at 100% FTE in the College of Liberal Arts
- have a minimum of two years service in the College
- hold a title below that of department head or director in the College at the time of nomination
- not have received a CLASS award in the last four years
CLASS Team Award:
- A majority of the team must have a minimum of two years service in the College.
- team is defined as three or more people working together on a regular (ongoing) basis or for special projects (specific, short‑term projects or events).
- Teams who win this award are not eligible for a second award for four years. However, individuals who are a part of a winning team are eligible to compete as a part of another team
Nomination and Submission
The nomination packet should be submitted by 5:00 p.m., Monday, November 12, 2007 and include the following:
- Nomination form
- Nomination letter (maximum two pages)
- No more than two letters of support (maximum one page each)
- For individual nominees, a summary of current job duties (position description may be used); for team nominees, a summary of responsibilities of the team.
