Patricia and Bookman Peters Professorship in History

2008
R.J.Q. Adams holds the Patricia and Bookman Peters Professorship in History, which he utilizes in his research of the political, social and economic history of 20th century Britain. In 2008, Adams used the funds to support travel to England where he presented at the Modern History Symposium at the University of Cambridge on the life and career of Arthur James Balfour, following the success of his book Balfour: The Last Grandee. Peters Professorship funds also supported travel and other scholarly tasks as Adams continued work on his next book, The Georgians, a study of the political, social and economic culture of Britain, 1910-1935.
